New Rihanna's video: wanna talk about it? Ok, let's do it.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The song is really cool, but the video itself is a piece of art. I've never seen something like that before. It's like the coolest girls on tumblr with their cool vintage clothes, their creepers and their amazing boyfriends that everyone envys has come together with Rihanna and combined. And that's the result. She's smoking too much for my tastes, I mean it's like "guys I'm so cool, I smoke, do it too, come on!". Of course, it's not the best message to give to the youth... 

oh what the hell am I saying? Everyone smokes nowadays, she's not gonna make any difference.
Execpt for the clothes, I like the idea of "hopeless place" in the video. The direction and shots are really good, the colors, the places... everything matches perfectly with each other. Like a big puzzle.

I don't understand why the guy looks exactly like Chris Brown, but I guess it's just some move to get the attention of the media and stuff like that. Well in that case it's totally working because I'm freaking obsessed with this video, and everybody is.

Dreams.

Today came a best-seller writer at my school to introduce his new book, and I asked him what would someone who chases their own dreams do. I recognized myself in his younger high school self, a lazy student who had grades such as Cs in italian; now he's a worldwide famous writer. To my question he answered that you have to insist, insist, insist. To not think about the present but what you want to do in your future. Look forward.

Now the future scares me a little bit... I'm sure of my dreams and I'll pursue them, but I really don't know what to expect. Yes, I'm afraid, but I'm really looking forward and I can't wait to play the game.
I refuse to believe that if we do nothing right now, in that twisted and stupid system we call school, we'll do nothing in the future aswell. I absolutely reject this idea, no matter how much is going to cost me. And I've been told this by a kid with a dream, who was a regardless student then, and as an adult now he won two of the most important literary awards in the world.

He inspired me a lot this morning, I hope that anyone who reads this will somehow understand and be inspired too, especially if that somebody's pursueing their dreams just like me.
To quote uncle Steve: "stay hungry, stay foolish". And insist, insist, insist.

Nobody told me that Christophe Decarnin left one of my favourite brand. What's next, Miuccia Prada leaving spontaneously Prada? Oh lord, what's the world gonna be like!

The new designer of the french brand, Olivier Rousteing, is a really hot guy. Really. But really, his clothes ain't just as hot as him. When I was watching the show I was like what the hell, then discovered that there was no Christophe anymore. *SIGHS*

I like the shorts, they're fine, and also the dresses and the jackets (well, not all of them), they have a really great texture. The flower dress is a good idea and obviously something new and fresh for Balmain, not as punk and rock'n'roll as the past works... even if he made it look like a pillow. I really don't understand that optical black/white theme, it would've been great in other colors and materials. Christophe would've rocked it with gems, paillettes and fringes.

This amazing collection is supposed to drop on the 17th, exactly one week from now. And so why on Earth isn't there anything yet on the website about it?! I remember last year, with the Lanvin collaboration, there were new interviews everyday, then the lookbook, the prices and everything before the drop.
Why, I ask you? Why?
Luckily I've found these sneak peaks of Vogue Russia! Right now, I love you russian people!
I don't know whether I'll be able to get something, but I'd totally go for the leopard jacket, leopard skirt and the golden bracelet. Or also the leopard silk scarf. Anyhow, I like the dresses, especially the black one with the golden greek theme (I love greek themes), but they're too expensive and surely of bad quality, so it's not worth it.

I'm totally digging Kanye West's new collection. He debuted on Paris fashion week last Saturday, but I heard the critic wasn't so happy about it. I personally like it very much. Not only because it's Kanye's, but I think the shapes and the materials are very futuristic, and chic dresses and shoes are mixed with hip hop details like the jackets with the lion/panther or whatever and the golden "YEEZY" chain. Good idea. Nice colors, also. Peach, white, black, and glowing details. Plus, I'm so happy for him, because he finally made it as a stylist. His great fashion taste is obvious, and the "Louie" shoes and the Air Yeezy he designed a few years ago are just THE SHIT. Those were totally futuristic and anticipating this years' fashion: neon colors mixed with nudes. One of the best 2011 trends, I guess.
